The sound of the drum is something we have known since we experienced our mother's heart beat while we were still in her womb. People have ridden the sound of the drum as a horse to meet spirit, to bring hearts together in community, to celebrate and grieve… Drumming together is one of my favorite ways to deeply listen to other people, to feel where we are and learn how we might move together. I love making drums, learning what the skins and wood has to teach, and hearing each one's unique voice emerge. I work with the skins of deer, elk, moose and buffalo to make drums that are available for sale as well as teaching classes on how to make your own.
